Bailey will be the new President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association (CTFA) was founded in 1894 as the Manufacturing Perfumers' Association and was renamed to the American Manufacturers of Toilet Articles (AMTA) in 1922;[1]  (CTFA). She will start April 4, succeeding E. Edward Kavanaugh who is retiring after 22 years as CTFA President and CEO.

Pamela G. Bailey is currently the President and CEO of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) where she has held the top position since 1999. AdvaMed is based in Washington, D.C. and is the largest medical technology association in the world. In announcing the selection of Pamela Bailey, Pritchard said, "Pamela Bailey has the experience and proven track record in leading a large trade association. She understands the importance of doing business on a global basis and how it impacts industry and consumers, giving us the confidence that CTFA will successfully take on the challenges of the future under her leadership."

Pritchard said that a committee of the CTFA Executive Committee launched its search in the fall of 2004. CTFA is the national trade association representing the cosmetic, toiletry, and fragrance industry. Founded in 1894, CTFA has an active membership of approximately 300 companies that manufacture or distribute the vast majority of finished personal care products marketed in the United States. CTFA also includes approximately 300 associate member companies, including manufacturers of raw materials, trade and consumer magazines, and other related materials.
