Palm and Vodafone Launch Treo 500v in Australia.


Mobile High-speed 3G Internet Access See how to access the Internet.  and Multiple Forms of Communication Combined in One Compact Handset

SYDNEY, Australia -- Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq:PALM) today announced the Palm[R] Treo[TM] 500v smartphone on the Vodafone network in Australia. The new smartphone combines multiple forms of communication and multimedia capabilities with high-speed 3G mobile Internet Refers to gaining access to the Internet using a lightweight, handheld device. The Treo 500v smartphone runs on the Windows Mobile The Windows platform from Microsoft for handheld devices, including PDAs, cellphones and Portable Media Centers. [R] 6 Standard platform and has a full keyboard, large screen, audio- and video-streaming capabilities, comprehensive multimessaging functionality (Instant Messaging Exchanging text messages in real time between two or more people logged into a particular instant messaging (IM) service. Instant messaging is more interactive than e-mail because messages are sent immediately, whereas e-mail messages can be queued up in a mail server for seconds or , SMS (1) (Storage Management System) Software used to routinely back up and archive files.
