In addition to the Lake Worth campus, the largest (114-acre/51 building complex) and longest established campus (1956), PBCC also serves students at full-service locations in Belle Glade in Florida, has been named the new dean of academic affairs. Ramsammy holds a bachelor's degree in pre-medicine from the University of the District of Columbia The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) is a public university located in Washington, D.C. The university was formed in 1977 through the amalgamation of the Federal City College and Washington Technical Institute (both of which had been established in 1966 as the result , and a master's degree and Ph.D. in molecular genetics from Howard University. Ramsammy turned down a teaching and research career at Minnesota's prestigious Mayo Clinic to pursue his love for teaching at Palm Beach Community College. He joined the faculty in 1994 and became associate dean of academic affairs in 2007. |
