Pakistan is an ideological state: Ghani.

PESHAWAR, 10 June, 2009 (Balochistan Times) -- The NWFP Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani has said that Pakistan is an ideological state, based on immortal ideology of Islam wherein, neither any justification exists for killing of people and create lawlessness nor is any need of doing so, rather it is demand of the hour to farther strengthen and empower it. In a press statement on Wednesday, the Governor has said, we are quite conscious to the realty that the Pakistan is also the sole Islamic Atomic Power in the world and being a responsible member of the international community, our this sensitive position also demands us to play a befitting role. We as a nation, he added, are confronted with many challenges and difficulties and the elements involved in terrorism and extremism, are in fact, the agents of evil forces; out to further the nefarious designs of aliens; weakening the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and promoting anarchy in the society. Both the Pakistani Nation and its government, the Governor said, would never tolerate terrorism and extremism at their soil at any cost and no effort will be spared to surmount the elements involved in such nefarious activities, which, in fact, are out to damage the Islamic cause. Referring to the recent successes of the government in the fight against extremism and terrorism in Malakand Division and FATA, the Governor has also appreciated the wisdom and awareness of the people in extending support to the government and said that there is also dire need that the state of peace and harmony and spirit of patriotism should be maintained; unity at every level must be further cemented to ensure development and prosperity and get an honourable status amongst the comity of nations at the international level. The government, he further remarked, has surmounted the problems to a great extent; life in the respective areas is gradually becoming normal; the terrorists are in retreat. In the state of hopelessness, the terrorists are now targeting the innocent general public, he added. In fact, Owais Ahmed Ghani said the anti-people and the anti-Islam designs of such elements have also clearly exposed. Owais Ahmed Ghani said that there is dire need to demonstrate utmost awareness to strengthen the institutions and defeat the conspiracies of the anti-state elements. He has also expressed the confidence that the people would stand steadfast against the miscreants and anarchist elements and never allow the nefarious designs of anti-state elements to succeed.
