Paisley selected by BMC Software for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Paisley Consulting, a provider of business accountability software, has announced that BMC Software, Inc., a provider of enterprise management solutions will implement Paisley Consulting's Risk Navigator integrated with Documentum's Content Server. The combined solution provides BMC Software with a comprehensive compliance framework to assist in managing, documenting and certifying all internal controls and processes related to financial disclosures, and meeting the requirements for the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act of 2002.

The integrated solution allows BMC Software to combine structured data captured through Risk Navigator and unstructured data stored in the Documentum Content Server. Future integration will streamline and automate the monitoring of internal processes and controls. The company will integrate Risk Navigator with existing business applications and IT systems to support their globally dispersed organization, resulting in an overall reduction of compliance costs and related IT management time.

Paisley Consulting has defined a road map for a fully integrated compliance framework. The integration with Documentum is the first step in implementing that framework which will result in reduced time and effort for BMC Software.

Risk Navigator supports compliance by providing a long-term application for enterprise risk management. It enables companies to document and test its internal controls and navigate through the right processes with a dashboard to discover and respond to potential compliance issues. The flexible framework can also help companies address other compliance initiatives that require periodic monitoring and certification, adherence to internal controls and procedures, and audit trail capabilities, such as the U.S. Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA); BASEL II, an international accord on banking supervision and the Graham Leach Bliley Act.
