Pages of past.

History buffs can flick through the pages of County Durham's past next week.

Accounts from the Durham County Local History Society (DCLHS) Journal will be heard at Clayport Library in Durham City, on Saturday, September 30, from 2pm.

The DCLHS Journal has been running for 42 years, amassing a wide range of articles from the construction of the Darlington and Barnard Castle Railway to lead mining in 19th Century Weardale and cholera in Sunderland.

Members of the society will be at the library from 10.30am. To attend, call (0191) 386 4003.
