Pacific Life Announces Five Officer Promotions.

Mr. Byrd joined Pacific Life in 1990 as Assistant Vice President of Audit in the Corporate Division, following 12 years of management experience in audit, internal control, and general accounting with a public accounting firm. He was promoted to VP Corporate Audit/Financial Planning in 1991, and has held positions of increasing responsibility. In 1992 he was named VP Controller and in 2003 was given the added title of Chief Accounting Officer to recognize the expanding significance of his responsibility for accounting and financial matters throughout the company. In his role as Senior Vice President, Controller & Chief Accounting Officer, he oversees accounting and financial reporting for the entire enterprise, including regulatory financial filings. He is also chair of the company's disclosure committee and a principal contact for accounting and financial reporting matters with independent auditors, rating agencies, and regulators.
