Celebrating its 25th Silver Anniversary, the Pacific Coast Industrial & Machine Tool Show (PAC '03) returns to the Santa Clara Convention Center next week. The event starts on November 11th and ends on November 13th.

In the early days, PAC was primarily an industrial show and has evolved from manual machining to high-tech computer numeric control manufacturing or CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) See numerical control.

CNC - Collaborative Networked Communication
. The event has consistently brought buyers & sellers together showcasing thousands of pounds of working machinery. The show will be filled with metalcutting & metalforming machines, measuring equipment, EDM (Engineering Data Management) An information system that maintains the details of all engineering data while the product is in the design and concept phase. This includes geometry and changes to geometry. See PLM.

EDM - Electronic Data Management
, rapid prototyping Building a part one layer at a time using a method of additive fabrication such as 3D printing. Such parts are used for concept modeling to determine if the product design meets the customer's expectations. , CAD/CAM/CIM, lasers, cutting tools, drilling, finishing and other manufacturing and industrial products.

A three-day conference, with 17 free, timely, and educational seminars will run concurrently with the show. The conference program will focus on the newest technology. Industry specialists will provide real-world solutions for manufacturing and industrial problems. Highlights of the conference include the hot topics of lean manufacturing Lean manufacturing is the production of goods using less of everything compared to mass production: less human effort, less manufacturing space, less investment in tools, and less engineering time to develop a new product. , bar coding, CNC machining, micro technologies, CAD models, collaborative product design, and management of coolants and solvents.

PAC's Silver Anniversary celebration will include a special reception for exhibitors and attendees immediately following the first day of the show. This special reception will honor 16 companies in the machine tool industry, who have participated in the show as exhibitors for over 20 years. As part of the celebration, commemorative t-shirts will be awarded to attendees who bring colleagues to the show.

PAC is co-located with Design Solutions West, catering to design engineers and manufacturing engineers. The co-location of DSW DSW - penis war  '03 adds excitement and value to this powerhouse event, expected to draw the highest-caliber attendees in and around the Silicon Valley.
