Pace Integrates C-COR On Demand into New Tahoe and Vegas Set-Top Boxes.

Marks Completion of Integration with Three Top VOD Vendors on Pace's Newest Boxes

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Pace Micro Technology, a dedicated, global set-top box developer supplying the world's largest television service providers, today announced it has integrated its newest set-top boxes with C-COR's On Demand platform including C-COR's n5[TM] and n5C video servers and nABLE[TM] back office management system. This marks the completion of Pace's integration with three major Video On Demand (VOD) vendors -- C-COR, Concurrent, and SeaChange International.

Specifically, Pace has integrated three top VOD vendors with its flagship dual-tuner, high-definition Tahoe TDC775 HD-DVR, and its Vegas TDC575 SD-DVR. Both boxes can run either native applications or the CableLabs([R])' OpenCable[TM] Applications Platform (OCAP[TM]).

Pace's Tahoe TDC775 HD-DVR

The most advanced high-definition DVR for North America, this dual-tuner HD-DVR set-top box is the world's first high-definition DVR OCAP-compliant platform ready for deployment on existing networks. Tahoe also has been fully integrated with the latest generation of set-top EPG and VOD applications. Tahoe's internal DOCSIS[R] 2.0 modem can also provide high-speed data connections and was the industry's first set-top certified by CableLabs for DOCSIS/DSG. Tahoe DC775 is also available in an all-digital configuration.

Pace's Vegas TDC575 SD-DVR

This all digital, dual-tuner SD-DVR is the first of its kind available for Motorola-type networks. It is a richly featured set-top that includes advanced connectivity, DOCSIS, and the latest applications. Like Tahoe, Vegas has been integrated with the latest EPG and VOD applications and additionally supports OCAP. Vegas has also been certified by CableLabs for DOCSIS/DSG. Its slim case design and low cost makes Vegas the choice for large-scale DVR deployments.
