Oregon State right-hander Dallas Buck was named Pac-10 Conference pitcher of the week for his performance against Washington, the conference announced Tuesday.

Buck pitched a three-hit shutout as the fifth-ranked Beavers beat the Huskies 7-0 on May 13, starting a three-game sweep.

Buck struck out eight batters and walked four as he improved his record to 10-1.

SUNRIVER - Oregon's Johnna Nealy shot a 5-over-par 76 on Tuesday to tie for 57th after the first round of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships at the Meadows Course.

UO receiver agrees

to enter diversion

Oregon wide receiver Demetrius Williams entered a plea of no contest to one charge of third-degree criminal mischief and agreed to enter diversion Tuesday after being cited last summer for tampering with parking meters.

Williams was cited by Eugene police on Aug. 3 of last year and accused of using washers coated with a "gooey substance" to jam the meters so that they would read "out of order."

WOODLAND, Wash. - Two-time defending champions Mary Budke of Eugene and Sharon Hadley of Springfield tied with Portland State University's Sarah Tiller and Ashley Anast after the first round of the OGA Women's Best Ball Championship on Tuesday.
