PURE Bioscience Receives Prestigious ''Safe Family Seal of Approval'' for its KinderGuard(TM) Disinfectant; Powerful Silver Dihydrogen Citrate-Based Disinfectant Ideal for Use Near Children.

SAN DIEGO -- PURE Bioscience (OTCBB:PURE), makers of the newly released hard surface disinfectant KinderGuard(TM), has received a prestigious product endorsement from a leading national child safety organization, Child Safety Network (CSN). KinderGuard will be included as part of CSN's 2006 marketing program.

Use claims for KinderGuard disinfectant include use on children's toys, toy boxes, play tables and activity centers, jungle gyms, playpens, child car seats, strollers and diaper changing tables. The EPA's registration of such sensitive use sites emphasizes the "least-toxic" characteristics of KinderGuard. These claims allow PURE to pursue focused childcare market opportunities including daycare centers, preschools, schools, gymnasiums and children's activity centers, as well as directly targeting the retail market with a child-friendly but powerful household disinfectant product. PURE's SDC-based disinfectant is also registered with the EPA for disinfection of hard surfaces including those in restaurants, homes and medical facilities.

In order to receive the "Safe Family Seal of Approval," CSN child advocates review the safety and value of a product including numerous and extensive EPA reports and tests on the product's efficacy and toxicity.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), approximately 78,000 children under five years old visited U.S. hospital emergency rooms due to unintentional poisonings in 2003. Most of these poisonings occurred at home from readily-available household products.
