PUPPY DOG EYES: GUILTLESS AFTER AN AIRPORT RUN.

Byline: JASON Jason, in Greek mythology
Jason, in Greek mythology, son of Aeson. When Pelias usurped the throne of Iolcus and killed (or imprisoned) Aeson and most of his descendants, Jason was smuggled off to the centaur Chiron, who reared him secretly on Mt. Pelion.

BURBANK -- Taxi never got off the ground, but the little white dog -- nicknamed for the tour he took at dawn Friday across airport runways -- got plenty of offers for a home.

The Yorkshire terrier Yorkshire terrier, breed of small, spirited toy dog originated and developed in Yorkshire, England, in the mid-19th cent. It stands about 9 in. (22.8 cm) high at the shoulder and weighs from 4 to 7 lb (1.8–3.2 kg).  zigged and zagged for some 30 minutes on a taxiway taxiway: see airport.  and runway at Bob Hope Airport Bob Hope Airport (IATA: BUR, ICAO: KBUR, FAA LID: BUR) is a regional and national airport located in Burbank, California, United States.

It was formerly known as United Airport (1930-1934); Union Air Terminal (1934-1940);

And all was caught on camera from a news chopper hovering overhead.

Finally, Taxi, a male dog about 5, was scooped up, bathed and taken to the Burbank Animal Shelter "Dog Pound" redirects here. For the rap group, see Tha Dogg Pound.

An animal shelter is a facility that houses homeless, lost or abandoned animals; primarily a large variety of dogs and cats.

Taxi's antics drew dozens of calls from across the country from people wanting to adopt him, said Tracy Fossen at the shelter, where the little dog spent the day in Kennel 31.

He's not available for adoption until next Thursday, to give enough time for an owner to come forward. Taxi had a collar, but no tags, nor a microchip implanted to supply identification. By Friday morning, no owner had stepped forward.

Airport spokesman Victor Gill said it was unknown how the dog got onto the property. Staffers are prohibited from bringing dogs to the airport and Taxi was found too far from the terminal to have been with a passenger.

Taxi's adventures didn't cause cause any flight delays, but drew some guffaws from Gill, who said that the last time the airport had a four-legged trespasser was in 1987 when a desert tortoise desert tortoise

 lumbered onto the tarmac.

What's the attraction?

``Gotta ask the trespassers,'' Gill said.
