McDONALD MAKEOVER: The Ronald McDonald House, which provides temporary lodging for families with children receiving medical treatment, is celebrating its 30th birthday with a makeover. Doug Wilson, star designer of TLC's `'Trading Spaces: Family,'' will bring a team of workers to renovate the Grand Rapids Grand Rapids, city (1990 pop. 189,126), seat of Kent co., SW central Mich., on the Grand River; inc. 1850. The second largest city in the state, it is a distribution, wholesale, and industrial center for an area that yields fruit, dairy products, farm produce, , Mich., Ronald McDonald House, currently home to 17 families.
