PULSE GO VEST, YOUNG MAN (OR WOMAN).

OK, so we all probably packed on a few pounds during the Thanksgiving weekend. So before trying to slip into that holiday cocktail dress, slip into the new Walkvest.

Invented by Debbie Rocker - dubbed dub 1

1. To tap lightly on the shoulder by way of conferring knighthood.

2. To honor with a new title or description.

3.
a ``celebrity fitness guru'' by Brntwd Magazine - the vest offers people with little time a lot of benefits.

``The beauty of walking with weight is you get two workouts in one,'' Rocker said. ``You get twice the benefit in the same amount of time.''

The vest - used by celebrities such as Demi Moore Demi Kutcher (born Demetria Gene Guynes on November 11, 1962) is an American actress. For most of her career, she has been known as Demi Moore, using the surname of her first husband, singer-songwriter Freddy Moore. , Alyssa Milano Alyssa Jayne Milano (born December 191972) is an American actress and singer. She is perhaps best known for her roles as Samantha Micelli in the sitcom Who's the Boss? and Phoebe Halliwell on the supernatural series Charmed.  and Lily Tomlin Lily Tomlin (born September 01, 1939) is an Academy Award-nominated American actress, comedian, writer and producer. Tomlin's body of work, which has spanned over 40 years, has garnered her several Tony Awards and Emmy Awards, as well as a Grammy Award.  - is designed to give users a full cross-training workout. So you're not only toning and building muscle, but by loading the walking, you build bone density as well.

But the benefit isn't just physical. The full Walkvest system includes audiotapes that help exercise the mind. In fact, Rocker tries to integrate mental health into all of her workout programs. At her Sherman Oaks studio, the Ride, Rocker emphasizes motivation and the spiritual aspects of fitness.

``We talk about fitness as a whole,'' she said. ``When you integrate all aspects of life, then you are truly fit. It's really about changing your life, not just your body.''

Rocker offers these tips on keeping fit this holiday season:

--Relax. Don't beat yourself up if things do get out of hand.

--Maintain a regular fitness program.

--When it comes to eating, ``indulge in moderation.'' If you find yourself getting out of control, Rocker recommends letting another person be in charge of how much you eat.

--Engage in your post-holiday fitness program in moderation. ``Fitness should be part of your life,'' Rocker said. ``It's not just a quick fix for weight loss.''

The Ride is located at 14330 Ventura Blvd. For more information, call (818) 995-7433. To order the full Walkvest system, call (877) 925-5837.
