PULSE DEBUTS GAPPED TOROID INDUCTORS FOR DVD PRODUCTS.

Pulse, a Technitrol (NYSE:TNL) company, has introduced three new through-hole (THT) power inductors for 100 W Class D amplifiers and digital audio amplifiers, models PG0036 and PG0058 (without base) and PG0035 (with base).

These high-performance gapped toroid inductors are especially designed for the Zetex IC chipsets ZXCD1000 and ZXCW8100. Product applications include high-end analog and digital audio amplifiers and DVD product designs.

This new series allows for low direct current resistance (DCR) ratings, excellent thermal efficiency and current ratings up to 11 amps direct current (ADC). All models have a profile to meet DVD size constraints. The height of the PG0035 is 15.00mm (.591-inch), the PG0026, 37.08mm (1.46-inch) and the PG0058, 22.53mm (.887-inch).

Technical Information

The PG0036, PG0058 and PG0035 have a nominal inductance rating of 19.5 micro henries. The PG0035 and PG0036 have a maximum DCR of 93 milliohms, a saturation current rating of 6 ADC, and a heating current rating of 3 ADC. The PG0058 has a maximum DCR of 12 milliohms, a saturation current rating of 8 ADC, and a heating current rating of 11 ADC. The operating temperature of this series is -40 degrees Celsius to +125 degrees Celsius.
