PUBLISHERS EQUIPMENT CORPORATION ANNOUNCES INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MACHINISTS AND AEROSPACE WORKERS UNION WILL STRIKE

 DALLAS, Nov. 16 ~PRNewswire~ -- Dallas-based Publishers Equipment Corporation (NASDAQ: PECN) today announced that the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (AFL-CIO) union which represents manufacturing personnel at its King Press Corporation subsidiary in Joplin, Mo. had voted to strike upon the expiration of its working agreement at 11:59 p.m., Nov. 15, 1992. A company spokesman described the strike as an "economic strike" involving principally group insurance issues. The company believes that a fair offer was made in all respects and is sorry that its offer was rejected.
 The company spokesman further stated that King Press Corporation will continue to operate on a business as normal basis with supervisory, administrative and other personnel.
