Valley, southern California, U.S. Northwest of central Los Angeles, the valley is bounded by the San Gabriel, Santa Susana, and Santa Monica mountains and the Simi Hills.
Metro Rapidway now under construction across the Valley.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority expects to plant more than 800,000 plants, including 4,000 trees, along the 13-mile route between North Hollywood and Warner Center in time for its 2005 opening.

``People can start to see what we have is really quite attractive,'' said MTA community relations 1. The relationship between military and civilian communities.

``What we're offering to residents is to take a look at what we have designed, then to show them the palette of plants were using.''

A main issue has been if the route will have irrigation irrigation, in agriculture, artificial watering of the land. Although used chiefly in regions with annual rainfall of less than 20 in. (51 cm), it is also used in wetter areas to grow certain crops, e.g., rice. , and the MTA is now working with the Department of Water and Power to see if it's feasible to put in a reclaimed water Reclaimed water, sometimes called recycled water, is former wastewater (sewage) that has been treated and purified for reuse, rather than discharged into a body of water.  pipeline that DWP DWP Department of Work and Pensions (UK)

Most of the plants are low-water users, including California poppies, wild lilacs and Boston ivy, said Pattison. Trees include alders, pines and oaks, Pattison said. He said it's always been expected the plants will get water for two years under a temporary system.

While much of the landscaping has been planned, the agency wants to hear from residents on further suggestions as they start finalizing the work, he said.

The Rapidway is a bus line that will run in its own lane along the old rail line, with stops about every mile along the route that connects with the Metro Red Line subway in North Hollywood.
