PTC Lands $22 Million Airbus Order; PTC Open CPC Solutions Adopted By Leading Aerospace Manufacturers.

PTC (Nasdaq:PMTC), a leading provider of collaborative product commerce (CPC) solutions, today announced it has received a five year contract from Airbus, renewing its commitment to PTC solutions. The contract for $22 million of software and maintenance services, includes PTC's Web-based collaboration software, Windchill, as well as PTC's entire suite of MDA solutions. Airbus, a consortium of the leading aerospace companies, will use PTC CPC solutions as part of the Airbus Concurrent Engineering (ACE) system. PTC's solutions will be used on all existing aircraft programs as well as on the new A3XX program.

Airbus is comprised of Airbus Industries G.I.E. (France), Aerospatiale Matra Airbus SA (France), Daimler Chrysler Aerospace Airbus Gmbh (Germany), BAe Systems (Operations) Limited (UK), and Construcciones Aeronauticas SA (Spain). The A3XX is currently under development at Airbus Industrie. In its initial version, the A3XX-100, will be able to carry 555 passengers in a standard-three class layout over distances up to 7,650 nm/14,150 km.
