PTC's 27th Annual Conference to Focus on Broadband Issues and Concerns.

) industries have confirmed their participation at PTC'05 to discuss the rebound of the information and communication technology (ICT) industry. The conference and exhibition takes place January 16-19, 2005, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village The Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa, formerly the Kaiser Hawaiian Village Hotel, is one of the most popular hotels in Waikiki — based on name recognition and visitor statistics — on the Hawaiian island of O'ahu.  Beach Resort & Spa in Honolulu and will focus on broadband issues and concerns. This year's conference theme is Broadband and Content: From Wires to Wireless. The event is expected to bring together a dynamic pool of more than 900 attendees from over 50 countries, including CEOs, CIOs, CTOs and CFOs, as well as venture capitalists, senior industry observers, and high-level government officials.

"Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is on the rebound, and PTC's annual conference is the place to gain insight into its future. Content and usage is expanding and filling the broadband capacity. How will this impact on infrastructure? Determining the value of that content, its mode of delivery and the potential returns will be key topics at the PTC'05 forums," says Bruce Drake, PTC's president. "The questions of security, privacy, regulatory concerns and delivery systems will be broached," Drake added.

For the first time this year, PTC'05 will host a Broadband Playground, which will demonstrate emerging broadband applications from the international research and education community. Showcased will be High Definition Television (HDTV (High Definition TV) A set of digital television (DTV) standards that offer the highest resolution and sharpest picture. Although some HDTV sets are available in standard (rather square) screen sizes, the overwhelming majority of sets are wide screen, which eliminates ) over IP.
