PORTLAND - Portland State shut out Oregon 2-0 in a nonconference women's soccer game at PGE Park on Sunday as the Ducks finished their road trip 1-5.

It was the fifth time the Ducks (1-6-1) have been shut out this season.

Annie Peccia scored 10 minutes into the game on an assist by Julie Forrest, and the Vikings (2-5-1) scored again late in the final minute of regulation when Sophia Mundy beat goalkeeper Domenique Lainez one-on-one from six yards out.

Kami Kapaku, a freshman, led Oregon with a game-high four shots

Oregon returns home to Pape Field for its first home matches in a month, starting with Wyoming on Friday and Gonzaga next Sunday.

OSU women's soccer

LOS ANGELES - Lori Sims scored three goals to lead Loyola Marymount to a 3-0 nonconference women's soccer victory over Oregon State on Sunday.

The Beavers (5-4), who lost their fourth consecutive game, were shut out for the first time this season. LMU improved to 6-3.

Five players score

as OSU men rout Cornell

CORVALLIS - Freshman and Sheldon High School product Loren Hill assisted on Oregon State's first goal as the Beavers rolled to a 5-0 victory over Cornell on Sunday in the Diadora/Clif Bar Challenge men's soccer tournament at Lorenz Field.

Ryan Johnson put OSU (5-4-1) on the board in the 27th minute, and four other players scored in the victory over Cornell (1-6-0).

Carlos Cornejo, Robbie Findley, Chad Bartman and Bryan Jordan all scored for the Beavers.

In Sunday's other game in the tournament, Gonzaga (4-4) won 3-1 over St. Bonaventure (4-2-1).

South boys seventh

in water polo tourney

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - South Eugene's boys team beat Mark Morris 12-1 on Sunday to finish in seventh place in the Washington Water Polo Invitational.
