It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672. Special Olympics Special Olympics International sports program for people with intellectual disability. It provides year-round training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type summer and winter sports for participants. . The event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Elephant Bar Restaurant, 27063 N. McBean Parkway, Valencia. Patrons will be given the opportunity to leave a ``tip'' for these law enforcement officers acting as servers, which the FBI will then donate back to the Special Olympics. All those who make a $25 donation will receive a 2004 Tip-a-Hero T-shirt as a memento of the evening. ``We are proud to be involved with such a worthwhile organization as Special Olympics,'' said Grant Chapman Hedley Grant Pearson Chapman (born 27 April 1949) is an Australian politician. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region, will come to Santa Clarita to compete in swimming, basketball, track and field, tennis, golf and bocce (Italian lawn bowling).
