PSComm, LLC Receives Contract for Assistance On Major Transportation Security Initiative in London.

Maryland-based PSComm, LLC has won a contract with Transport for London to provide technical assistance and oversight of a major initiative to improve security and movement of buses in London, England.

The initial work will focus on creating 20 safe corridors for buses, reducing congestion, and creating a safe and orderly environment for bus riders.

The initiative involves creating a new $39 million dollar-a-year transport police unit staffed by more than 100 police officers and 280 traffic wardens. A new central London command center will control the operation, which brings together for the first time transport and police experts.

The collaborative effort will use intelligence techniques to improve traffic flow and crack down on vandalism and assaults on buses as well as other violations.

PSComm is working with Transport for London and officials at Scotland Yard to create a modern, state-of-the-art police intelligence center that will identify transportation crime trouble spots and employ the latest technology to ensure the intelligence information is quickly made available to field staff.
