PRWeek Launches PR Industry Fundraising Initiative to Help Victims of the Tsunami Disaster.

LONDON -- Clearing out your cupboards for charity? Patsy and Eddie would never have done it, nor would Samantha from Sex and The City, yet PRWeek (the bible of the public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  industry) has mobilised the support of the PR industry to host "The Friends of Asia Mega Sale", a fabulous charity shopping event in the capital on Saturday 26th February.

New products, latest stock, samples, seconds, high ticket items and services are up for grabs for shopaholics with an eye for a bargain with all proceeds going to the Disasters Emergency Committee, Tsunami Appeal.

The one-off event will be staged at the suitably glamorous Marquee in Battersea Park, which in the run-up to the Mega Sale will have been the scene of London Fashion Week. Once the runways have been cleared the fashionistas will give way to bargain hunters Bargain Hunters was a game show on ABC in the summer of 1987, hosted by Peter Tomarken. Games

"This is a fun event with a very serious purpose. There was an enormous public response immediately following the Tsunami disaster but the need for funds is ongoing as the victims seek to rebuild their lives. We have been overwhelmed by the response by the PR industry and now hope that the public will flock to take the opportunity of picking up some amazing a·maze
