The PRSA Skyline Awards recognize Chicagoland public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most practitioners who have successfully addressed a contemporary issue with exemplary skill, creativity and resourcefulness. A highlight of the evening was recognizing the annual Top Gun and Sky-Walker Award winners, who shared their public relations perspectives. Chuck Werle, APR APR See: Annual Percentage Rate , Fellow PRSA, who retired last December after a 34-year public relations career, received the Top Gun Award -- the chapter's highest honor for a PR professional. Werle started his career as a reporter before holding top positions with some of Chicago's largest PR and advertising agencies. In 1992, he founded Werle + Associates, Ltd., which was acquired seven years later by Cushman/Amberg Communications. Previous recipients include Dan Edelman, Edelman Worldwide; Tom Harris, Thomas L.
