PROTEOME SOCIETY LAUNCHES ONLINE FORUM.

The Proteome pro·te·ome
n.
The complete set of proteins that are produced by the genes of an organism.

proteome

the entire complement of proteins produced by a cell.
Society has launched its new site, http://www.proteome.org, to provide a service to its international member base. The move reflects the need for more real-time collaboration among members. Members and sponsors will now have the opportunity to post advertisements, job listings and events. Members may also contribute articles or post questions on an interactive discussion board. The enhanced site fulfills the society's goals to operate as a forum for information exchange relevant to those interested in functional genomics Noun 1. functional genomics - the branch of genomics that determines the biological function of the genes and their products
genomics - the branch of genetics that studies organisms in terms of their genomes (their full DNA sequences)
 and proteomics.

"The Society has existed and thrived since it's inception in 1997 as an organization dedicated to networking in the post-genomics age in the newly-developing field of Proteomics," said Cara Wykowski, executive director, Proteome Society. "The amount of interest exhibited thus far combined with the need for information in an emerging technology has hit critical mass. An online interface is essential for fostering collaboration in this international community."

The site will report on the Society's live roundtable and panel discussions thus sparking a virtual forum for extended information and debate. Aspects covered are bioinformatics, separation and sequencing techniques as well as techniques involving the structure and function of proteins. The members at large will generate speakers, panelists and topics for discussions, editorials and contributed articles. The goal is to get people talking, which leads to collaboration, which in turn leads to discovery.

"Networking is vital to any scientific community," adds Wykowski. "I firmly believe that this Society, with its grass roots grass roots

The society has approximately 400 members in twelve countries. Membership in the organization is free and open to anyone. About The Proteome Society

Founded in 1997, the Proteome Society is an early leader in uniting those interested in the field of Proteomics. Its model is to provide an open forum leading to collaboration among its members. Sponsored by biotechnology companies Top 100 Biotechnology Companies
The following is a list of the top 100 biotechnology companies ranked by revenue. The first nine companies qualify for the list of the top 50 pharmaceutical companies.
, supported by volunteers and guided by their prestigious Scientific Advisory Council, the Proteome Society reinforces a basic tenet TENET. Which he holds. There are two ways of stating the tenure in an action of waste. The averment is either in the tenet and the tenuit; it has a reference to the time of the waste done, and not to the time of bringing the action.
