PRITCHETT'S FIVE TDS LEAD FALCONS TO ROUT : C. VALLEY 54, GLENDALE 6.

Kenny Pritchett rushed for 151 yards and five touchdowns Friday night as Crescenta Valley High School remained unbeaten with a 54-6 win over Glendale at Moyse Field. The Falcons now face rival Muir with the Pacific League title on the line.

Pritchett did all his damage in the first half - and needed only 14 carries to dismantle Glendale.

First-year Nitros coach Pete Fmolin suspended seven starters for the game, and the outmanned Nitros couldn't keep pace.

Glendale threw four interceptions. Three occurred in the first half, all leading to Crescenta Valley touchdowns.

Luis Company was Glendale's lone bright spot. He gained 116 yards rushing and scored the Nitros' only touchdown against the tough Crescenta Valley defense.

But the night belonged to the Falcons. Crescenta Valley used nine different runners and gained 295 yards on the ground.

Quarterback Seth Santoro led the passing attack with 62 yards. Backup quarterback Ryan McKnight added 34 yards passing, with 16 coming on a scoring strike to wide receiver Nate Barber.

Erick Mendoza had an interception and a sack, and defensive lineman Jesse Busta also had a sack, as the Falcons defense put a stranglehold on the Nitros offense.

The Crescenta Valley defense threw Glendale runners for 27 yards in losses.

Falcons head coach Alan Eberhart said his team did not have trouble focusing on this game even though a big matchup with Muir loomed.
