PRINCESS TOURS FEATURES 11 LAND TOUR PACKAGES FOR 1993

SEATTLE, Nov. 30 ~PRNewswire~ -- Princess Tours(R) said it has packaged the most popular destinations and scenic attractions in Alaska and Canada's Yukon in their 1993 Land Tour Packages. The tours are highlighted in the Princess Land Tour brochure available from travel agents.
Eleven itineraries are available for the independent traveler wanting to experience the best of Alaska by land. For 1993, Princess Tours, one of Alaska's largest cruise and land tour operators, has added more departure dates and increased availability of their land tour packages.
New for 1993 is a Princess exclusive helicopter flightseeing excursion in Denali National Park, one of Alaska's most popular visitor attractions. All passengers on tours with stays in Denali will have the unique opportunity to view the wildlife and scenery that comprise the six-million-acre preserve.
The land tours are divided into four categories, highlighting Denali National Park, Prudhoe Bay, the Kenai Peninsula and the Canadian Yukon. Heart of Alaska tours feature Anchorage, Denali National Park and Fairbanks. Passengers experience luxury rail travel aboard the Midnight Sun Express(R) Ultra Dome(R) rail cars with overnight accommodations at Denali Princess Lodge(SM).
Top of the World tours take passengers along the Dalton Highway between Fairbanks and the oil fields of Prudhoe Bay, with opportunities to view abundant wildlife, the Trans-Alaska Oil Pipeline, and to cross the Arctic Circle.
Tours to the Kenai Peninsula, known as "Alaska's Playground," feature travel from Anchorage along Turnagain Arm to the Kenai Peninsula. Overnight accommodations are at the Kenai Princess Lodge(R), where optional activities include fishing, rafting, hiking or excursions to Seward.
Yukon Gold Rush Adventure tours highlight the gold rush history of the Canadian Yukon. Scenic attractions in Alaska's Inside Passage such as Juneau and Skagway also are included. Passengers will enjoy rail travel between Skagway and Whitehorse aboard the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad, and motorcoach travel between Whitehorse and Fairbanks, with the option to overnight in historic Dawson City. Passengers on many of the land tour itineraries may choose to include an excursion to the arctic villages of Nome and Kotzebue.
Tours range from four to 13 days in length, with prices starting as low as $449. For copies of the brochure and more information, contact a local travel agent, or write to Princess Tours, 2815 Second Ave., Suite 400, Seattle, WA 98121.
