                   TO NEW EXECUTIVE VP POST
    ATLANTA, Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Donald J. Hofmann has joined Primerica Financial Services as executive vice president of Marketing and Promotions, the company announced today.
    Hofmann's primary management responsibilities will concentrate on the development of marketing and promotional strategies for Primerica Financial Services products and representatives.
    K. Douglas Martin, vice chairman and chief operating officer of the company, said:  "I have worked with Don in the past and am excited to have a person with his extensive marketing experience join our team.  Primerica Financial Services is North America's largest financial services marketing organization with approximately 125,000 representatives throughout the United States and Canada, and Don was very enthused by the challenge of contributing to the company's future as we move through the 1990s."
    Hofmann, an Atlanta resident, joins Primerica Financial Services from Earle Palmer Brown advertising agency where he was president and responsible for agency management, new business development and client account service.  Prior to that, he was executive vice president of Promotions with Tupperware.  His distinguished career also includes stints with Burton-Campbell, Inc., where he left as senior vice president, and McDonald & Little, where he began as account supervisor and left as vice president.
    Hofmann earned his masters in business administration from the Babcock School of Management, Wake Forest University in 1976.  He holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Georgetown University.
    Active in community and business affairs, he serves on the board of trustees for the Children's Museum of Atlanta, and is a member of the Alumni Council for the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University.  Hofmann also serves as speaker for the Advertising Education Foundation in New York and is the Educational Seminar Committee coordinator for the Atlanta Ad Club.

    Primerica Financial Services consists of an affiliated group of companies engaged primarily in marketing and administering financial service products.  These products include individual term life insurance underwritten by Massachusetts Indemnity and Life Insurance Company (MILICO).  Through year-end 1990, MILICO led the North American insurance industry with more than $300 billion of individual life insurance protection in force.  PFS also markets mutual funds through First American National Securities, Inc. and debt consolidation loans in conjunction with Commercial Credit Corporation.
    Primerica Financial Services' parent company is Primerica Corporation (NYSE: PA), a financial services company headquartered in New York.  Other Primerica Corporation subsidiaries include Smith Barney and Commercial Credit Corporation.  As of Sept. 30, Primerica had assets of approximately $22.5 billion.
