PREP FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: OAKS CHR. POSTS BIG NUMBERS IN VICTORY.

Joey Halzle passed for 244 yards and two touchdowns, and Adam Richter rushed for 130 yards to lead Oaks Christian of Westlake Village past Village Christian of Sun Valley (0-2) 36-3 Saturday night in a nonleague football game at Kennedy High in Granada Hills.

Halzle, who completed 15 of 22 passes, had touchdown strikes to Jon Adams (69 yards) and San Travis (6 yards). Richter averaged just less than six yards a carry and scored on a 4-yard run as the Lions, ranked No. 2 by the Daily News among area small schools, improved to 2-0.

Village Christian was held to minus-11 yards rushing by an aggressive Lions defense. Mark Cordell had three interceptions to lead the Oaks Christian defense.

--Harvard-Westlake 35, Bosco Tech 10: The Wolverines of Studio City (2-0), off to their best start since 1994 under first-year coach Greg Gonzalez, scored 35 consecutive points to overcome a 10-0 second-quarter lead by the visiting Tigers of Rosemead (0-2).

Harvard-Westlake's Zach Goren rushed for 201 yards, scoring on a 34-yard third-quarter run before leaving midway through the fourth quarter because of a foot injury. Brian Shields added six catches and an interception, Tom Harwood (9 of 15) passed for 130 yards and Nick Janneck had four sacks.

--St. Genevieve 33, Vasquez 0: Evan Weaver, playing offense, defense and special teams for the visiting Valiants of Panorama City, scored on a 5-yard pass from Jesse Reyes and a 68-yard interception return, and set up a third touchdown by catching a 39-yard pass on a third-and-11 play in the nonleague win.

``Everyone was saying that he was dying out there,'' St. Genevieve special teams coach Jeremy Iaccino said of Weaver. ``He worked real hard all afternoon and he was real tired.''

Reyes also had touchdown passes of 10 and 30 yards to Richard Cisneros and Michael Endreola, respectively, as St. Genevieve improved to 2-0. Eyner Artega scored on a fourth- quarter 1-yard run, set up by Reyes' 39-yard pass to Weaver.

Jared Higley had 16 tackles (seven solo) and Ben Carrubba had seven tackles for Vasquez of Acton (0-2).

--Bell-Jeff 33, La Verne Lutheran 0: Adrian Anetema rushed for 75 yards and scored two twice in the nonleague win for the visiting Guards of Burbank (1-1).

Richard Smith rushed for one touchdown and caught a scoring pass from Brendan Doyle (3 of 4 for 40 yards and two TDS), who also had a touchdown pass to Raul Cuevas.

Anetema, Smith and T.J. Gilmore combined to rush for 211 yards, and the Bell-Jeff defense limited La Verne Lutheran (0-2) to seven yards and yielded only 10 plays of positive yardage.

--Bishop's 14, Flintridge Prep 13: Dominic Capaldi's missed extra-point attempt with 6:21 remaining was the difference as the host Rebels of La Canada (0-2) lost a nonleague game at Duarte High.

 Barden (five catches for 70 yards) caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from Greg Sherman in the second quarter, and Jordan Nomura rushed for a 9-yard fourth-quarter score for Flintridge Prep, which has lost both of its games by a combined three points.

--Antelope Valley 33, Santa Barbara 7: The fifth-ranked Antelopes (2-0) ran for 350 yards and shut out the host Dons (0-2) over the final three quarters to earn the nonleague victory Friday.

Sean Wallace ran for 128 yards and two touchdowns, Kreig Peters had 113 yards and a score, and quarterback Johnny Walker (80 yards rushing, 66 passing) had touchdowns running and passing (to Kwinton Fulbright).

The victory was potentially costly for the Antelopes, however Offensive linemen Lawrence Nunez and Josh King left the game with ankle injuries and did not return.
