PREP FOOTBALL: THOUSAND OAKS' COBOS NAMED MOST VALUABLE IN MARMONTE LEAGUE.

The run helped Thousand Oaks earn Coaching Staff of the Year in the Marmonte League The Marmonte League is a high school sports league primarily made up of schools from Ventura County. The Marmonte Leauge is part of the CIF Southern Section. Click here to view the league schedule.  and it helped Wes Cobos earn Most Valuable Player honors.

Cobos, a 5-11, 170-pound senior, scored 24 touchdowns and ended the regular season as Ventura County's leading rusher.

Cobos injured his right ankle in the regular season finale, a 42-41 victory over Newbury Park, and missed the Lancers' Southern Section Division IV playoff game Noun 1. playoff game - one game in the series of games constituting a playoff
