PRC Inc., Litton Industries Inc., McLean, Va., was awarded on Nov. 30, 2001, a $48,950,000 (maximum) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for engineering, technical and operations and maintenance support to the Air Force Information Warfare Center, the Air Force Research Laboratory's Information and Intelligence Exploitation and Handling Branch, the Defensive Information Warfare Branch, and the Defense Automated Warning System-Message Front End/Information Extraction Toll Program. This contract will also support the customers of the agencies listed above. The two main areas this effort will support are the advancement, integration and application of information systems science and technology to requirements for information dominance and the transition of this technology to aerospace and intelligence systems to meet Air Force, intelligence and command and control community needs. At this time, $1,853,182 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete November 2006. Solicitation was posted via the World Wide Web in August 2001, and two proposals were received. Negotiations were completed November 2001. The contract will perform this effort in Bellevue, Neb. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, N.Y., is the contracting activity (F30602-01-D-0167).
