PPP led govt not to disappoint masses: MD Pakistan Baitul Mal.
ISLAMABAD, June 13, 2009 (Frontier Star) --Managing Director
Pakistan Baitul Mal Zummurd Khan has said PPP led government will never
disappoint people. He said this while addressing a ceremony held here
Saturday in connection with distribution of cheques among Internally
Displaced Persons (IDPs) under Pakistan Baitul Mal (PBM). Cheques
amounting to Rs 5000 each were distributed among IDPs. Minister for
social welfare Samina Khalid Ghurki was chief guest on the occasion.
Zummurd Khan told special teams comprising employees of PBM had been set
up which were distributing cheques among 1000 to 1500 families daily.
After the current scheme of disbursement of Rs 5000 each, another scheme
announced by president Asif Ali Zardari about disbursement of Rs 25000
each among affected families would be launched, he told. He held
government was taking all possible measures for rehabilitation of IDPs.
"I am paying visit to all the areas including Jalozai camp",
he added. Minister for social welfare Samina Khalid Ghurki stressed IDPs
should not consider them helpless in this critical hour. Besides
government, people were also with them too, she added. Paying tributes
to armed forces she said, "we all have to work together for the
sake of national integrity.
