POWERSOFT INTRODUCES THREE GOVERNMENT PARTNER PROGRAMS.


CONCORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 17, 1995--Powersoft Corporation today announced three new programs designed to assist partners working with the growing client/server federal market. The Government PowerChannel Partner, Small Business Partner and Federal System Integrator See systems integrator.  programs give companies the technology and business support needed to grow their federal client/server business as well as provide federal customers with accessible government purchasing vehicles. These new programs highlight Powersoft's commitment to support the service and technology industry that continues to build around PowerBuilder.

To join the Government PowerChannel Partner, Small Business Partner and Federal System Integrator Programs, companies must focus primarily on marketing client/server products to the federal government and maintain PowerBuilder or Watcom database expertise within the organization. In addition, each program has individual criteria which need to be met by all partners participating in that program.

    The Small Business Partner Program is for companies designated by Federal Acquisition Regulations The Federal Acquisition Regulation (usually referred to as the FAR or F.A.R.), are a series of regulations issued by the Federal government of the United States that concern the requirements of contractors for selling to the government, the terms under which the  (FAR) as a small business based upon criteria such as the number of employees and total revenue. To qualify for this program, companies must receive the appropriate designation from FAR and familiarize one staff member with the benefits of the Powersoft product line. Successful members of this program may expand their Small Business partnership into the Government PowerChannel Program.

    The Government PowerChannel Partner Program targets small-to-medium sized companies that market Powersoft products to the federal government. Companies interested in becoming a Government PowerChannel Partner must dedicate ded·i·cate

With increasing complexity of technology, more customers want complete solutions to information problems, requiring hardware, software and networking expertise in a multivendor environment.  Program gives qualified partners the unique opportunity to customize their business relationship with Powersoft. This program is designed to support large, worldwide companies that employ a minimum of 350 consultants and maintain agency-specific contracts. Members of the Federal Systems Integrator Program have the added benefit of working with the Powersoft Federal Sales team who provide contract bid and sales support.

    Powersoft offers a variety of technical and business benefits to all of its government partners, including free listings on Powersoft's World Wide Web site and discount rates for technical support and education services. Partners have access to Powersoft sales and marketing collateral Marketing collateral, in marketing and sales, is the collection of media used to support the sales of a product or service.
