POST YOUR LETTER TO SANTA TO VALLEYNEWS.COM.Byline: -- Annie Hundley We want kids of all ages to send in their letters to Santa! My philosophy is that you're never to old to ask Santa for what you really want. As a kid I always wrote Santa a letter enumerating the many needs in my life. These needs (my parents may have classified them as desires) included Barbie dolls Barbie doll popular dress-up doll; extremely conventional and feminine. [Am. Hist.: Sann, 179] See : Fads , board games This is a list of board games. This page classifies board games according to the concerns which might be uppermost for someone organizing a gaming event or party. See the article on game classification for other alternatives, or see for a list of board game articles. , new clothes, a bike, a cat, books, music and more. It was no coincidence that I received all of these as Christmas gifts. I learned at an early age that you're more likely to get something in life if you go right out and ask for it. I thought I had matured beyond Christmas lists when last year I was inspired to write another list. At YourHub.com in Denver we were asking people to send in their letters to Santa and I figured it was only fair for me to get things rolling by putting my two cents My two cents may refer to either of these:
tr.v. nom·i·nat·ed, nom·i·nat·ing, nom·i·nates 1. To propose by name as a candidate, especially for election. 2. To designate or appoint to an office, responsibility, or honor. film, for a vacation and for my very own, personal masseuse masseuse /mas·seuse/ (-sldbomacz´) [Fr.] a woman who performs massage. . Doesn't hurt to ask, right? After my list was published, I got an offer of free massages from a local massage therapist. Because you're more likely to get something if you just ask for it! The letters I received last year were so touching. Some children asked for the extravagant ex·trav·a·gant adj. 1. Given to lavish or imprudent expenditure: extravagant members of the imperial court. 2. Exceeding reasonable bounds: extravagant demands. while others asked for the most basic of items. One child asked Santa for pasta and rice, which brought me to tears. Another wrote, "Santa, you are so special to me, and I know that I am special to you." Doesn't that just make your heart melt? So this holiday season we are asking you in the valleynews.com community to post your letters to Santa. We'll be running the letters in our print editions throughout the holiday season. |
