That's Mike Muir, the ex-Suicidal Tendencies singer, now front man for both Infectious Grooves The Infectious Grooves are a funk metal band led by Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir. It also features former Excel guitarist Adam Siegel, ex-Suicidal Tendencies, now Metallica, bassist Robert Trujillo, and ex-Jane's Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins. and his own band Cyco Miko. As Muir tells it, Suicidal su·i·cid·al adj. 1. Of or relating to suicide. 2. Likely to attempt suicide. Tendencies disbanded two years ago partly because the band couldn't get booked in the bigger local venues due to a reputation for attracting troublemakers to its gigs. At the same time, the bandanna-wearing quartet, which garnered two Grammy nominations, never downplayed its links to a Venice-area street gang called Suicidal. "I'm very proud of having been in that band," Muir, 32, said from his home in Ventura. "It was a philosophy, a way of life. But stories got told about things that never happened.
