That's Mike Muir, the ex-Suicidal Tendencies singer, now front man for both Infectious Grooves The Infectious Grooves are a funk metal band led by Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir. It also features former Excel guitarist Adam Siegel, ex-Suicidal Tendencies, now Metallica, bassist Robert Trujillo, and ex-Jane's Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins. and his own band Cyco Miko. Tendencies disbanded two years ago partly because the band couldn't get booked in the bigger local venues due to a reputation for attracting troublemakers to its gigs. At the same time, the bandanna-wearing quartet, which garnered two Grammy nominations, never downplayed its links to a Venice-area street gang called Suicidal. "I'm very proud of having been in that band," Muir, 32, said from his home in Ventura. "It was a philosophy, a way of life. But stories got told about things that never happened.
