POM delivers wet end systems.

POM Technology Oy Ab, Helsinki, Finland, has delivered four new POM(R) Systems since early 2001--two in Germany, one in Japan and one in the United States. In Germany, Carl Macher Hulsenpapier has installed a three POMp Deaeration system on its 100,000 tpy paper machine. The second installation in Germany was at Neu Kaliss Spezialpapier, where one POMp unit deaerates the majority of the white water from PM6. In the US, a 175,000 tpy 2-ply linerboard and corrugated medium machine was refurbished with a two POMp System for the top sheet. The first POM System in Japan, with six deaeration units, has been successfully started early this summer on a green field paper machine producing technical specialties. Two further deliveries to Japan are slated for installation and start-up in early 2002.
