Mayoral hopeful to speak at event

PALMDALE - Mayoral candidate Desmond Kester will speak Thursday at a meet-the-candidate event.

The event will be 7 p.m. at Eduardo's Italian restaurant, 819 W. Palmdale Blvd.

Food and live music will be featured.

Candidates to get air time on radio

LANCASTER - Clear Channel Radio/AV will host three forums for candidates running for local offices in the Nov. 8 election.

The forums will be aired live on 1340 AM on three consecutive Saturdays from 9 to 10:30 a.m. from the Clear Channel offices, 352 E. Ave. K-4.

Lancaster School District board candidates will be featured on Oct. 8, Antelope Valley Joint Union High School District board candidates on Oct. 15 and Palmdale City Council and mayoral candidates on Oct. 22.

Moderator will be local television and radio personality Mitchell Chase. Listeners can e-mail questions in advance to VoteAv(at)yahoo.com.
