POLICE UNION WON'T BACK ANY CANDIDATE.

 members among the finalists, the union representing rank-and-file Los Angeles police officers announced Thursday that it will not endorse any of the three candidates for police chief.

The Los Angeles Police Protective League announced its position a day after Mayor James Hahn said it would not be helpful to have the union weigh in on who should be selected.

The union interviewed Oxnard Police Chief Art Lopez on Tuesday and William Bratton, former head of the New York Police New York Police may refer to:
