POLAROID INTRODUCES THE 'TALKING SIDEKICK' FIRST SINGLE-USE CAMERA WITH A VOICE

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Polaroid Corporation (NYSE: PRD) announced today that it is expanding its popular single-use 35mm camera line with the national introduction of the "Talking Sidekick" camera. The innovative single-use camera utilizes a built-in, pre-programmed computer chip to play humorous picture-taking expressions such as "Smile and say cheese!", "C'mon look happy!" and "All right on 3. 1...2..."
"We're delighted to bring fun and a new twist to 35mm photography with this addition to our new single-use camera line," said Stephen L. Golden, Polaroid senior marketing manager. "Like our entire 35mm product line, Sidekick and new Talking Sidekick cameras are designed to bring customers high quality photographic products at competitive prices.
"Talking Sidekick represents a high-quality, economically-priced novel alternative in what is today the fastest growing segment of the consumer conventional photography business."
