POLAROID'S BOOTH ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF INROADS NATIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 ST. LOUIS, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- I. MacAllister Booth, chairman, president and CEO of Cambridge, Mass.-based Polaroid Corp., has been elected chairman of the national board of directors of INROADS, Inc.
 INROADS is a merit-based career development and internship organization for minority college students, headquartered in St. Louis. INROADS currently has 5,141 students interning with more than 750 corporations nationwide through affiliates in 40 cities.
 Booth has been a member of the INROADS/Central New England board of directors since the affiliate's founding in 1987 and vice chairman of the national board since 1991. He succeeds Robert D. Kennedy, chairman and CEO of Union Carbide Corp., who had been chairman since 1990.
 INROADS/Central New England, the local affiliate of INROADS, rose to second largest affiliate for 1993-94 with 254 college interns sponsored by local firms. It is located at 99 Bedford Street, Boston.
