He alleged that members demanding formation of south Punjab as an independent province were behind this sad incident and added that some politicians wanted prominence by staging such incidents. Replying to a question about medical legal report, he said that law for it existed; however, experience and mature doctors would be appointed on rural health centres in the light of Punjab Assembly recommendations. He said police officials manhandling journalists have been suspended and those found involved would be brought to justice.
