PMI Offers $5,000 Reward for Information on Missing Man.


WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- The PMI Group, Inc. (NYSE NYSE

:PMI See Private Mortgage Insurance. ) is contributing $5,000 to start a reward fund for information leading to the safe return of Luke Sylvester, who has been missing since Saturday, March 18.

Sylvester is the husband of a PMI employee. Roger Haughton, PMI's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, explained, "PMI is like a family, and when one of our people is in trouble we do everything we can to help."

Sylvester is 38, Caucasian, 6 feet 2 inches, about 200 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. His memory and orientation are impaired due to a traumatic brain injury Traumatic brain injury (TBI), traumatic injuries to the brain, also called intracranial injury, or simply head injury, occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury and is one of two subsets of acquired brain . He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket, and may have been wearing an Oakland Raiders T-shirt. He wears glasses with a cracked right lens. He was not wearing shoes. He left a care facility in Hayward at about 9 p.m. Saturday night and does not have his anti-seizure medication with him.
