PMA briefs Ravian about Army life.


LAHORE, November 02, 2009 (Balochistan Times): The Pakistan Military Academy Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) is a Military Academy of the Pakistan Army. A senior cadet of the academy told students that the main objectives of PMA schooling are character building, military training, leadership training, physical development and intellectual enrichment of the cadets. He also briefed Ravians about the organisation, mission and courses offered by the academy. The pictures of cadets hard physical and combat training were also shown to the students to help them understand a cadets life. Later, Major Farhan answered the students questions in detail about the structure of Pakistan Army, recruitment procedure and medical fitness. He dispelled the impression that students with weak eyesight and slight colour blindness colour blindness

. He also briefed the students about mandatory minimum and maximum age limit, qualification and height for joining the Army. In reply to questions about the basic criteria for selection and rejection by the Inter Services Selection Board, he laid a stress on medical fitness, leadership qualities and I.Q test. In reply to a criticism on strict medical fitness requirements

of the Army Major Farhan said its for your own benefit. If you come to PMA with medical problems, the academys rigorous routine and hard physical development experiences can prove to be dangerous for you.  Registrar Sahibzada Faisal Khursheed. The GCU Registrar presented a university souvenir to the Major Farhan, thanking him for giving an insight and detailed briefing to the university students. The GCU students termed the presentation highly informative and also showed their enthusiasm to join the Pakistan Army to serve the country as no one else can.
