NETWORKING: IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) , Sun Microsystems and Oracle Corp. are teaming up to create a mutually acceptable standard for the low-cost network computer, the biggest boost yet for the ballyhooed product, The San Francisco Chronicle The San Francisco Chronicle was founded in 1865 as The Daily Dramatic Chronicle by teenage brothers Charles de Young and Michael H. de Young.[2] The paper grew along with San Francisco to become the largest circulation newspaper on the West Coast of the  reported.

COLLEGE CONNECTION: Hundreds of top executives and government and education officials will convene at Apple Computer in Cupertino on Tuesday to map out strategies for bringing more technology into the state's community college network.
