PLUGGED IN : NEWS BYTES.IN THE GAME: In the continuing saga of the consolidating game software industry, Rocket Science announced that four of its titles will be published by SegaSoft, a joint CSK Corp. and Sega of America. The products are Rocket Jockey, a gladiator-style combat game; Obsidian, a graphic adventure set to the music of Thomas Dolby; The Space Bar, a comic sci-fi murder mystery; and an as-yet unreleased title. The games are set to hit stores by October. FLIGHT PATH: Your bags are packed, your airline ticket is in your hand and you're walking out the door. But where is a good spot for Mom to drop you off at the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport? Check out the airport's new site (http://www.bur.com), a simple little spot with some handy tips. Users can browse through flight schedules, a map of the terminal and information about shuttles, taxis, trains and car rentals. WEB LINKS GET DISCOVERED ON LINE: Falling into the ``What will they think of next?'' category, a Hollywood-based duo has launched an on-line venue for film-star hopefuls. The site, (http://www.worldstars.com), went up in early June. It offers Net-savvy Knowledge of the Internet. It implies more than being able to occasionally surf the Web and use e-mail. Net-savvy means having the next level or next several levels of Internet/Web skills, which includes downloading files and updating applications as well as being extremely aware of potential viruses. casting agents - and the curious user - a small photo of the professional actor, a brief description of his or her professional experience and an agent contact number. Who's up there so far? Andrew Dice Clay, Dr. Joyce Brothers and a host of young unknowns. The first month is free, then the service costs $199 a year. WHERE YOU WANT TO GO: Yet another on-line guide has popped up and promises to ``get people exactly where they want to be on the Net - quickly and easily.'' This one, however, looks promising. NetGuide Live has joined forces with CNN Interactive to feature hourly updates of what's new on the Web, in the on-line commercial service and around the real-time world. The search engine is easy to use, but limited. Later this year, NetGuide Live promises to allow users to customize the site. (http://www.netguide.com) NET POTATO ALERT: Fitness info for the Net potato: The Human Kinetics Web site (http://www.humankinetics.com) is chock full of sports and health tidbits. Check out the fitness job board, dozens of feel-good associations and an extensive list of educational programs for both coaches and the general public. There are more than 900 convenient links to health-oriented sites, which are conveniently divided between activities - alpine skiing, anyone? - events and educational studies. RANDSOM ACCESS CAN WE ELABORATE?: Can these on-line film promotions get any more elaborate? Last week, Universal Studios Hollywood kicked off its latest ``Jurassic Park'' spin-off - The Ride On-line Adventure. This first-person, role-playing game tosses users into the middle of a dinosaur crisis. One wrong move and you're dinner. The good news? It doesn't take too long to download the game. The bad news?
