PLAYHOUSE TO SCREEN DOCUMENTARY FOR VETERANS.

PALMDALE -- Veterans will be honored with a screening of the documentary film ``The Transformative Heart'' and a presentation by the leader of a Vietnam veterans This article is about the French band. For veterans of the Vietnam War, see Vietnam veteran.

The event is 6 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Palmdale Playhouse, 38334 10th St. E. The film is about the theater's 2005 production of the play ``A Piece of My Heart A Piece of My Heart is the 18th novel by crime-writer Peter Robinson, published in 2006 and is 16th in the multi award-winning Inspector Alan Banks series. Plot summary ,'' which tells the stories of women involved in the Vietnam War Vietnam War, conflict in Southeast Asia, primarily fought in South Vietnam between government forces aided by the United States and guerrilla forces aided by North Vietnam. .

Made by play director Hugh Munro Neely, the documentary covers the production from casting to rehearsals.

The Nov. 4 event will also feature a presentation by George Palermo, director of Point Man Ministries, as well as a color guard ceremony and a question-and-answer period.

``A Piece of My Heart'' was written by Shirley Lauro and based on a book by Keith Walker about the true stories of six American women who served in Vietnam.
