PLASMA THERM, INC. ANNOUNCES FLAT PANEL DISPLAY ORDER

 ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Plasma-Therm, Inc. (NASDAQ: PTIS) announces the sale of two ClusterLock(TM) 7000 Flat Panel Display Reactive Ion Etching Systems valued $4.1 million to OIS Optical Imaging Systems.
 The ClusterLock(TM) 7000 is a class one multi-chamber cluster tool designed to handle flat panel displays up to 500mm by 500mm square. The ClusterLock(TM) 7000 will accommodate up to four processing chambers to etch materials such as Amorphous Silicon, Silicon Nitride, Silicon Dioxide, Indium Tin Oxide and various other films.
 Plasma-Therm anticipates additional orders for the ClusterLock(TM) 7000 flat panel display platform over the upcoming months. Plasma-Therm expects substantial revenue increases for fiscal year 1994 of which the ClusterLock(TM) 7000 product sales will contribute a significant portion.
 Plasma-Therm, Inc., headquartered in St. Petersburg, Fla., is a producer of plasma process equipment primarily used by manufacturers requiring expertise in thin film etching and deposition.
