But at the far end of a parking lot, yellow tape remained from Thursday's fatal plane crash, grounds crews worked and memorials were set up for some of those killed. The twin-engine Cessna crashed into the East Shore, killing four and injuring 12. Among the dead were the pilot, Michael Brand
A memorial was set on the stump campaigning for public office; running for election to office. See also: Stump of a tree that had been cut down after being clipped by the plane before the crash. A framed plaque with pictures of Brand read: ``You will be forever missed. We love you more than words could say.'' Bouquets of flowers rested nearby as friends and family members visited throughout the day. Relatives and friends of Truong gathered a few feet away near a picnic table and set up their own memorial of flowers, candles and an opened bag of Munchos. Grounds maintenance worker Marcos Vielmas was working Saturday at the site. ``We're just trying to make it clean so when relatives come around they don't have to see any debris,'' he said. ``We want to make it comfortable,'' Vielmas said. |
