 PITTSBURGH PRESS COMPANY CONTINUING EFFORTS TO REACH AGREEMENT;
 NO FINAL DECISION ON RESUMPTION OF PUBLISHING
 PITTSBURGH, July 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pittsburgh Press Company is continuing in its attempt to reach an agreement with striking Teamsters Local No. 211 today and will not make a final decision regarding when it will resume publishing The Pittsburgh Press and distributing the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette until every effort has been made.
 The company and Teamsters officials have been working with Federal Mediator John Pinto throughout the weekend in efforts to reach an agreement. "With Mr. Pinto's assistance, we're still exchanging ideas and that's important," Jimmy E. Manis, Pittsburgh Press Company vice president and general manager, reported late this afternoon.
 While it has announced its intention to resume publishing The Press and distributing the Post-Gazette, the company has not announced a specific publication date and does not expect to do so until no other options are available.
 "We will continue to do everything possible to reach an agreement to resolve this strike. That remains our primary goal," Manis said.
