 that alert residents of escapes from the Pitchess Detention Center A detention center or a detention centre is any location used for detention. Specifically, it can mean:
  • A prison
  • A structure for immigration detention
  • An internment camp or concentration camp
 jail complex will be tested Wednesday morning.

The sirens will sound from 9 to 9:30 a.m. in Castaic and Stevenson Ranch Stevenson Ranch, California (in the 91381 ZIP Code) is a Los Angeles County, USA, unincorporated community west of Santa Clarita a few miles south of Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park. The Stevenson Ranch fountain was redone in 2007.  along Interstate 5.

Sheriff's deputies will be posted at each siren location to verify it is working property. The testing is performed routinely.

The sirens follow Interstate 5, the likely path an escaping inmate INMATE. One who dwells in a part of another's house, the latter dwelling, at the same time, in the said house. Kitch. 45, b; Com. They sound as soon as jail guards realize someone is missing from one of the four jails at Pitchess.

Sheriff's officials are looking into the need for a siren in the new Tesoro del Valle neighborhood that lies just to the west of the jail compound, Deputy Mike Johnson said. The homes there are the nearest to the jail.
